Can a stairlift be fitted to my stairs, even if they’re narrow and have a fan of steps at the top?
Staircases come in many shapes and sizes varying over the UK and we have a wide range of solutions to suit the vast majority of cases. This is why we send out a qualified surveyor to your home, free-of-charge, to asses your particular staircase and identify the perfect stairlift solution for you.
How much is it going to cost?
Prices for straight staircases start at £1,200. Our policy is to have completely transparent pricing and, unlike many stairlift companies, we are very happy to give you a price over the telephone. We will also be happy to send out a technical surveyor to your UK property to measure your staircase and carry out a detailed survey. Your surveyor will provide you with a written quotation so you can make your decision. This service is completely free and you are never under any obligation to buy from us.
When could a lift be fitted in the UK?
Installation for a straight stairlift usually takes place within few days. We can often provide next day installation if required.
Will I need to redecorate after the installation?
Absolutely not. Our stairlifts fit to the staircase rather than the wall, so there’s minimal disruption to your home. Your installer will leave your home just as clean and tidy as they found it.
I have trouble with my knees and find it difficult to sit. Is there a home stairlift for me?
We have a range of options to suit individual requirements and accommodate various disabilities. Our ‘perch’ stairlift, for example, will allow you to stand instead of sit.
I'm not technically minded - is it easy to use?
All our stairlifts are simple and easy to use. During the installation, your installer will take time to fully demonstrate how your stairlift works and make sure you are completely happy.
How loud is the stairlift when in use?
Our stairlifts are quiet and the smooth start and stop mechanism ensures you glide effortlessly up and down the stairs. We don’t use noisy and messy cable-hauled or chain lifts.
How much will it cost to maintain my home stairlift?

Will the stairlift still work if there is a power cut?
Yes it will. Every StayHome stairlift is powered by a maintenance-free DC battery pack, which ensures the lift will continue to work for a limited number of trips even in the event of a power cut.
